Health & Safety Advisor - North England and Scotland - £43,240 to £54,859 + Company Car

You will provide expert support, guidance and coaching to operational teams carrying out construction and maintenance activities. Alongside this, there will be a requirement to conduct various assurance activities across a wide range of sites, tasks and depots.
 
Ensuring compliance of our site-based projects is a critical aspect of this role. As the Health and Safety Advisor, a typical day would be to visit a construction site, verify all necessary controls are in place and provide support to the team. 
 
You will be in constant interaction with the SHE and Operations team on improvement projects, development plans and understanding how to support the operational staff with the challenges they face during high-hazard maintenance and construction tasks.
 
To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and an ability to interpret this for each situation, audience and desired output. You will want to take ownership and accountability and push things over the line where required and be able to think on your feet as you will be faced with a wide range of challenges across a variety of sites and construction projects. 
 
You will have a track record in delivering innovative safety solutions across a range of sites, you will have experience of high hazard industries and/or construction works and hold a NEBOSH Certificate.
