The DevOps Tools & Engineering Department is looking for a Senior DevOps Enablement Engineer experienced with onboarding projects using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins and BitBucket. Must have the ability to analyze project requirements and come up with solutions to design, implement, and automate software build and deployment processes within our CI/CD platform. This role will work closely with application development and operations teams.

Our present stack includes Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Artifactory, and Azure. This role will require someone who is a good problem solver and is good at conflict resolution, can troubleshoot configurations, train others to use DevOps tools, and can represent us positively with our customers within National Grid.

Key Accountabilities

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities
•    Create Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipelines
•    Develop scripts to automate and improve operational processes, including the deployment of new environments
•    Troubleshoot DevOps toolchain deployment issues
•    Partner with offshore and regional DevOps team members on automation projects
•    Train teams how to use the tools.
•     Plan and execute work using Scaled Agile methodology


Capability Requirements

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Possess a positive attitude
•    Resourceful with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
•    Driven to succeed independently as well as in a team-based environment

Knowledge & Experience Required

•    Bachelor's degree or higher in IT related field
•    Minimum 4 years DevOps, Release Management, or SRE experience
•    Experience working in Jenkins, Ansible
•    Scripting experience with Python, Powershell, Groovy, Bash, SQL, YAML
•    Experience implementing branching strategies

Qualifications
  • Experience with DevOps in an agile/SAFe environment
  • Agile or SAFe certifications
  • AWS, Azure, or other DevOps related certifications
  • Experience working with Salesforce development teams
  • Experience using automation tools such as Kubernetes, Cloud Formation, Docker
  • Experience supporting deployments and builds in a 24/7 SaaS environment
