Job Purpose

The Scrum Master is responsible for being a servant leader to the scrum team. They will remove roadblocks, lead scrum ceremonies, report agile metrics, and ensure the team is delivering working systems as planned. They will be a mentor to the dev team on the values and practices of Agile. They will work with the Agile Transformation Office to improve the teams agile processes and they will collaborate with other teams to achieve the best possible results. 

Key Accountabilities

•    Detailed knowledge of security specific to the network discipline.
•    Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and Lean principles
•    Provide Agile Leadership coaching and training to agile dev team
•    Attends product increment planning session(s)
•    Attends Scrum of Scrums
•    Facilitates communication and information exchange between external groups and the scrum team
•    Forecast the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration, capacity/load
•    Determine team velocity
•    Mentor team to adopt Agile mindset
•    Ensure the correct use of scrum process.
•    Empower the team to self manage
•    Manage risks and dependencies
•    Track team progress in JIRA
•    Report team progress to Leadership 


•    3+ years of agile scrum master experience with methods such as Scrum, Lean, Kanban or SAFe 
•    Experience working with Jira managing boards and developing reports 
•    Understanding of the business value of development decisions and how they affect the lifecycle of the product
•    Ability to work both independently and in various team settings
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
•    A Certified SAFe 4 Scrum Master (SSM) a plus
