Job Purpose

National Grid IT team is seeking an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Functional Analyst. The role requires the individual to understand the business process and system process. The Functional Analyst will be required to partner with Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, and IT interfacing groups lead. The role involves eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing of requirements, business processes and high-level solution designs.  The Functional SAP FI/CO Analyst will be a key contibutor to the company and department's successful SAP implimentation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer system application software.
  • Perform activities ranging from software design, operating architecture integration, and selection of computer systems.
  • Apply knowledge of one or more technologies, and of one or more platforms and programming languages. (ex: Oracle CIS/Fusion, Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce, MuleSoft/API, MQ series, JCAPS).
  • Apply integration and custom development expertise in industry standard programming languages to convert functional and technical requirements into business solutions.
  • Create system design work products including conceptual designs and logical technical designs - Work effectively with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Perform project tasks following National Grid approved Software Development Lifecycle model - Concurrently manage multiple project assignments.
  • Support transformation of the IS organization into a proactive, value-added, business-focused service provider.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Demonstrate valued business partner capabilities and behaviors in all interactions with colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, team, and relationship-building skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or in related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in SAP- FICO or experience with the SAP-ISU is a plus
  • Experience with 2+ end to end SAP implementation within FICO module
  • SAP FICO - Configuration experience is a must
  • Conducted testing in FICO , created test scripts, fixed defects
  • Should have conducted requirement gathering sessions/workshops, design, document functional specifications and reviewed technical specification
  • Conducted testing in FICO , created test scripts, fixed defects
  • 2 years or more experience with Agile software delivery models (Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
  • 2 years or more experience using the JIRA, XRAY, Neoload and Tosca is plus
