Job Purpose
The Product Office & Digital Acceleration team is working to align our IT processes and tools to our Product Operating Model and Digital ways of working across both US and UK delivery regions. We are looking for an individual with a track record of implementing process improvements within an IT environment. This role is a great opportunity if you are interested in leadership. YOU will help drive improvement initiatives for National Grid Global IT Processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Working closely with our key stakeholders to develop streamlined processes that enable our Agile delivery journey and maintains an appropriate level of governance and clarity of reporting in a regulated utility.
- Utilize Lean, or Lean Six Sigma tools and metrics to evaluate performance of IT processes, identify pain points and work with key stakeholders to build and execute improvement solution including digital automation.
- To elicit requirements and drive process change and using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis
- Develop strong working relationships with the Global IT teams to be able to influence data driven decision making and build consensus on the need for change
- To identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system
- To complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful change has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be sustained
Qualifications
- Experience in all aspects of the process improvement lifecycle (problem ID, value stream mapping, gap analysis, streamlined solutions, implementation, measurement)
- Process Automation tools (MS Flow, SP, Automate, IBM Blue Prism, etc)
- Agile methodology experience
- Experience of developing process metrics and their visual presentation to senior stakeholders
- Root cause analysis and seeking solutions to emerging themes around gaps in performance
- Lean Six Sigma or LCS certification (Green Belt/1C) - nice to have
