Lead Analyst, New England Revenue Requirements Apply Now

Job ID 1301 Location Waltham, Massachusetts Organization Legal, Regulatory and Compliance

Job Purpose

Provide support to management in preparing electric and gas distribution revenue requirements, analysis 
and related tasks; prepare utility rate case filings and cost recovery reconciliation filings to regulators in 
Massachusetts and Rhode Island involving certain capital investments, operating costs,  and retirement 
plan costs; develop and enhance new revenue requirements models for base rate case filings; prepare 
financial analysis and review complex elements of rate case filings including rate base, depreciation 
expense, property tax expense, insurance expense, pension and other retiree expense, Integrated Facilities 
Agreement, and Energy Efficiency; analyze and interpret data in accounting and financial reports in 
support of testimony of Company’s expert witness in various regulatory proceedings; prepare responses to
information and data requests from regulators; prepare periodic regulatory earnings and other compliance
reports, periodic regulatory return calculations and any other reporting or ad hoc analysis as required; 
interact with regulators and Company management and keep abreast with the latest regulatory 
requirements and developments in rate making principles and procedures; implement and lead various
elements of Performance Excellence program to enhance efficiency and productivity of the Revenue 
Requirements Department; perform research on technical accounting matters relevant to cost recovery 
filings and other utility filings; maintain quality control for filings and responses; provide guidance to 
junior members of the revenue requirements team. Tools used include SAP, Access, Excel, PowerPlan and
Hana Reports.

Key Accountabilities

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or foreign equivalent.  8 years of experience in job or related

accounting experience including audits, evaluation of financial reporting systems, internal controls,  

and variance analysis.  Must have 1 year of experience using Excel and Microsoft Suite applications.
