Job Purpose

•    The Global IT & Digital Reporting FP&A Reporting Manager will support financial planning and reporting for National Grid’s Global IT & Digital organization
•    This role is required to interact with the US and UK IT & Digital FP&A team to collaborate in support of reporting financial outcomes of the Global IT & Digital function
•    Work with Finance Business Partnering teams (FBPs) and other US and UK FP&A teams to meet companywide financial and strategic objectives
•    Build and track key Global IT & Digital metrics, report on financial results, develop and present business commentary and perform ad hoc analyses
•    Manage a team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables

Key Accountabilities

•    Be available as key resource for Director of Global IT & Functions FP&A, VP of Global Functions FP&A and Global IT & Digital CFO

•    Leverage communication skills to effectively manage a diverse set of stakeholders

•    Consolidate and report on global planning and financial results

•    Analyze and consolidate financial data and provide forecasting support, preparing projections based on available financial data and assumptions

•    Develop associated final documents and presentations (Excel and PowerPoint) in line with both regional, global and Group FP&A requirements and business needs

•    Collaborate with FBPs to develop, drive and challenge business assumptions that are critical to each relevant stakeholder or function in respect of short-term results and longer-term strategy

•    Develop Global IT & Digital financial reporting and associated commentary, and present to IT Finance and regional finance lead

•    Support regional and global ad-hoc requests and work collaborately with the US and UK IT & Digital FP&A teams to support key investment decisions, prospective rate filings, audit requests, etc. 

•    Collaborate with the wider FP&A team(s) regarding regional budgets and business plans

•    Support the requirements, governance, and timeline of the overarching plan to perform process

•    Manage high quality inputs to the UK regulatory reporting pack through liaison with the Regulation team, the RIIO Optimisation team within Finance and FBPs to ensure smooth integration of deliverables into business submissions; similar requirement for any US regulatory reporting

•    Analyze and ensure proper allocations to National Grid operating companies and business units, both in the US and the UK, using trend analysis and comparisons to budgeted and forecasted allocations

•    Work with peers within the US and UK IT & Digital FP&A and FBP teams to drive an inclusive and collaborative Global team environment.


•    Bachelor’s degree required and MBA preferred in Finance or Business
•    7+ years of progressive Finance experience

•    Reporting financial information (PowerPoint presentations)
•    Accounting and reporting pronouncements 
•    Governance, risk, and internal control frameworks 
•    Control framework assessment and assurance 
•    Financial modelling (MS Excel) 
•    Planning, forecasting, and budgeting 
•    Transaction and close process management 
•    Financial risk management
