Job Purpose

The Associate Analyst supports the Capital Delivery In House Construction department running reports, analyzing the data, and reporting to the director and managers of the department.   The position also creates purchase orders by creating shopping carts on behalf of the management team.  Ensures the proper accounting is assigned when processing payments, and the accuracy of the billing.  Manages the vehicle utilization of company leased equipment and processes rental requests of specialty equipment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Processes IHC Substation Local 486 workers
  • Work with IHC Substation Lead to schedule, coordinate and track all safety, medical and training
  • Work with Depot and IHC Construction Field Supervisors to receive, file and maintain required Vehicle Inspection Forms per DOT
  • Processes all IHC construction invoicing, procurement, and problems
  • Coordination and scheduling of departmental meetings for managers and supervisors
  • Coordinate and track all OSHA compliance training for the IHC department keeping all employees in compliance.
  • Perform all administrative and clerical tasks requested by IHC Substation Manager
  • Collect weekly timesheets from contractors and file them on the shared drive
  • Manage the copier room by keeping it organized; ensuring copier is stocked. Order paper as needed thru Property Services.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, construction management, written communication, and critical analysis skills.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration and efficient resource utilization both throughout the department, the project team(s) and project support groups.

  • Associate's degree or higher required.
    Aptitude for strategic thinking and analytical skills
    Proficient in Excel
    Detail Oriented
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to multi-task
    Strong team player
    Ability to build relationships within all levels of the organization.Work independently with little or no supervision.
    Strong interpersonal and client management skills
    Ability to assemble and handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
    SAP GUI and Portal knowledge a plus
    This position may require driving.  A valid Driver's License and a driving record which meets National Grid's Safe Driver Policy are required.
