Job Purpose

The role of Risk and Controls Analyst is to assist the Manager in establishing and implementing the controls strategy for the GBE transformation project. The individual will play a key role in partnering with project workstreams to identify key risks and mitigating controls to be developed and implemented into the new solutions and processes. The Analyst will also be accountable for assisting in maintaining the team’s controls documentation for each system release. The Analyst will also work closely with the Business leads to identify control owners in their processes and working with the Business Readiness teams to ensure our control owners have been trained in how to effectively operate the control.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work collaboratively to support the risk and controls team in implementing the controls strategy for the GBE transformation program.
  • Assist in the identification of the key risks within the business process and Systems.
  • Assist in the design of effective key controls to mitigate risks. (Manual and automated/ITGC controls)
  • Engage workstreams to validate controls within their processes and identify control owner and operators.
  • Track testing of controls through E2E or UAT testing environments and help Business readiness teams prepare training documents.   
  • Use of project management skills to assist in tracking and reporting of progress through a suite of tools used by project.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrate organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document and organize.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively internally within the risk and controls team; may include presentation skills.​​​​​​​
