National Grid is hiring an Administrative Assistant for our NE Gas Field Operations department in Waltham, MA.

Job Purpose

To provide a highly professional and comprehensive personal administrative support service to two senior executives.

Key Accountabilities

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Control and screen all email, calls, office visits and requests, drafting responses and redirecting as appropriate
  • Manage and prioritize busy, changing calendars
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings
  • Coordinate full and complex travel and itinerary arrangements to include overseas engagements
  • Prepare staff meeting meetings, organize speakers, create and facilitate meeting slides  
  • Perform analytic and query work, as well as compile reports based on data
  • Process invoices and expenses 


  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives required
  • Professional training a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Demonstrated superior organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Proven attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks required
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability required
  • Valid driver's license required
