About the Position

Job Purpose:
Our Internship Program will allow interns to participate in a broad range of meaningful work experiences that are related to their interest and field of study. The students will be a group of trained and qualified students dedicated to supporting the National Grid customer experience by complementing Company resources and responding to customer questions and concerns on:
Energy efficiency choices (rates/rebates/technology options)
In home technology devices
Customer troubleshooting
Provide additional information on Home Energy Assessments
Connect to employee expertise as necessary
Implement local education and outreach tactics on the benefits of energy efficiency, ConnectedSolutions, solar and electric vehicles.

In addition, the Internship Program should create momentum to further identify local champions of the program and provide opportunities for increased engagement, to teach customers to use new technology effectively, and to encourage participants to give feedback and support each other in technology applications.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience Required:

    • Must maintain the following academic standing for the entire duration of the assignment
      • GPA 3.2 minimum for Graduate Students
      • GPA 3.0 minimum for Undergraduate Students
    • Achieved Sophomore level at minimum
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Provide a valid transcript before beginning assignment
    • Working toward a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environment, or Engineering
    • High level of Hub/office technology proficiency preferred
    • Excellent English communication proficiency (Spanish/Chinese/Vietnamese a plus)
    • Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Outstanding judgment and professional demeanor
