National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst in our Future of Heat department in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Purpose

The Senior Analyst, New York City and Long Island Gas Demand Response will be responsible for developing, along with the Marketing and Sales & Solutions teams, the go-to-market strategy, including supporting the development of marketing collateral and participating in customer outreach, for National Grid’s gas demand response programs in the Company’s New York City and Long Island territories. This role will coordinate with two other DR employees - one exclusive to DNY that will be focused on program management and regulatory reporting and one working across the US Business that will support program design and data analytics. This role will report progress and results to the Manager of the Future of Heat team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Works with the Company’s Marketing, Sales & Solutions, Customer Energy Management – New York, Community, Customer Insight, and Jurisdictional teams to determine the optimal go-to-market strategy
  • Tracks enrollments and site enablement relative to program targets; provides status reports to management and, if necessary, offers suggested corrective actions
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports insights gathered based on interactions with customers, which will inform future program updates
  • Ensures effective alignment with Customer Energy Management – New York so that the Company can achieve its demand-side management targets
  • Coordinates with Company internal stakeholders to ensure consistent tone, language, and ask in messaging
  • Ensures the effectiveness of existing marketing and go-to-market strategies and establishes continuous improvement actions to correct any issues that might prevent the full efficacy of the demand response portfolio

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required and 3-5 years of experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience working in any of the following circumstances is preferred:
    • at a utility
    • within a regulated industry
    • in the clean energy space
    • working on demand response programs, including at an aggregator
  • Is recognized as a credible, knowledgeable, and effective professional who drives change, builds collaborative networks across business units and end-to-end processes, and delivers results.
  • Demonstrates the ability to translate customer needs and market conditions into solutions, balancing the value of different solutions; understands how best to utilize them and drive greater performance, taking into account the wider business context.
  • Is visionary in understanding the issues which National Grid is facing today and possesses the ability to make complex ideas or situations clear, simple, and easy to understand.
