National Grid is hiring a Lead Program Manager  for our Regulatory and Strategy department in Brooklyn, New York.

Job Purpose

The Lead Program Manager is a team member of Strategy and Regulation Shared Service delivering Process Improvement and Project Management across jurisdictions, and, including Planning, Automation and Analytics. While this position will primarily focus on project management of rate cases, filings and major initiatives, a successful candidate must have strong business acumen, be highly organized and have an understanding/training in lean tools. Candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery of major regulatory filings on time, meeting quality standards.
  • Program Manage projects within Strategy and Regulation as well as across National Grid functions to ensure project plans are: developed, milestones identified, deliverables meet deadlines, issues with completing a project timeline are identified early for remediation, and communication to the appropriate project leads is timely.
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations of the processes and systems used by Strategy and Regulation.
  • Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies for the business.
  • Support and participate in PEX Continuous Improvement deployment.
  • Coordination with our regulator’s project management teams.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to network internally and externally and to develop successful, long-lasting business partnerships with others.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA (achieved or in progress) is a plus.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to network internally and externally and to develop successful, long-lasting business partnerships with others.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Experience in regulated or energy markets arena or knowledge of Regulation and Pricing is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Visio, lean and project management tool e.g. Microsoft Project Management.
  • PMP certification desired.

Travel:

·     25% Travel is required for this position within the State of Mass, NY and RI.
