Job Purpose

The Senior Analyst, Future of Heat, will provide support to the Product Owners, Future of Heat across a specific portfolio of products within one area. Responsible for supporting all product activities including innovation, design, piloting, supporting and implementing market strategy, and project management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Future of Heat Product Owners as they manage the Future of Heat portfolio of products, including providing assistance such as technical analysis, project management, business model development, and stakeholder management.
  • Work with the Regulatory and Customer Strategy – Future of Heat team to determine customers' needs and desires. Support development of narratives and strategies surrounding the Future of Heat aspirations of National Grid.
  • Supports products from the start-up phase to maturity; provide ongoing program support as necessary throughout program lifecycles.
  • Product Development

  • Based on guidance from the Category Manager or Product Owners, analyze the technical feasibility of technologies or developments that could impact the Future of Heat strategy. This may include actions such as site visits, working with vendors and customers, participating in industry groups, reviewing market literature, and completing reviews of technical documentation.
  • Based on guidance from the Category Manager or Product Owners, support project management for various Future of Heat initiatives. This may include actions such as site visits, meeting with potential customers, meeting with vendors, preparing documents for RFPs, reviewing data and monitoring equipment statuses, preparing status reports, and responding to requests for information.
  • Support the discussion around the Future of Heat with all internal stakeholders, including coordinating with company’s internal stakeholders on standards for data, communications, network and asset management and ownership.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proven experience of communicating with others from peer group to senior management.

Qualifications
  • BA in business-related field, BS in in environmental-science or engineering
  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in clean energy is preferred. Ideal if the person has experience with utilities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand complex situations clearly, identifying the underlying themes and being able to exceed expectations with their response; must be able to keep the broader business context in mind
