Position Details

Location: Beverly, Amesbury & Lowell MA

Unions: 318 & 12012

Pay: $19.63/hr

National Grid is currently seeking 3 temporary Metering Services Representative/collectors to assist with workload on a temporary basis in the Beverly, Amesbury & Lowell area.

Key Accountabilities

  • As a Temporary Meter Service Representative you will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
  • All meter reading (Pedestrian, AMR, soft off and on)
  • Physical offs
  • ERT changes
  • Leak Survey and Leak Surveillance (including leak classification)
  • Field collections
  • Wires down standby
  • Assist on two-person assignments as needed
  • Please note that to better represent the communities weserve, applicants must either currently live in or be able to relocate to within 30 miles of Beverly.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment.
  • Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests.
  • Valid drivers license along with a safe driving history required
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Must pass required testing/training to be an approved driver of Company trucks
  • HVAC/Plumbing experience desired
  • THIS POSITION IS A COVERED CLASSIFICATION UNDER D.O.T. ANTI-DRUG-ALCOHOL PROGRAM REGULATIONS AND CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A DRUG TEST.
  • Candidates must sucessfully pass the Field Aptitude Test before being considered for an interview.
